I'm in town for some work meetings and arrived fairly late on a Monday night in December and it is freaking cold (I live in S.F. California and have become a winter weenie) and I'm hungry for something other than nearby pizza. I got the "recommended list" of nearby restaurants from the Marriott property I'm staying at but I did my own research on Yelp and found this gem of joint ! Walked over and Lori was at the bar and she took great care of me. As others note, it is kind of hidden behind a market so be vigilant and you'll find it. Decent list of beers and drinks and they apparently swap out the beers on tap often and the price points are fair ! Special mixed drinks are also only $10 and they also seemed well constructed and well thought out. But let's get to the reason I was there - Pierogi's !! I used to hit the Ukrainian and polish places in Alphabet city in lower Manhattan New Yawk but those were Classic style and these are inventive and clever and actually quite tasty. They had about 10 different ones to try and I got an assortment and each one was actually quite tasty and unique - The brown butter one and the corn and green bean one were lovely and they came with sour cream on top and some sautéed caramelized onions ! Yum - and for $2.25/each a decent price. The pot roast on noodles ($13) was also a solid portion and done well. I would have liked all of the food a little warmer but all in all delicious. Staff (Lori at the bar) was friendly and helpful and I noted that tuesdays they have a reduced price deal on all the pierogis ($1.50) and drink specials and happy hour deals as well. Plus they have a clever tee shirt riffing a favorite teenage band of mine (Joy Division) for $20 I had to also get ! Tomorrow I'm back for more bargain pirogies and perhaps the chicken paprikosh or poutine ! Glad these folks are here - perhaps an outpost in the Bay Area ? Let's talk !! Do yerself a favor and hit this place up.

Oh Pierogi Mountain, I am so glad I was finally able to try you. I love that they have rotating flavors so there is always something new to try. My favorite on this visit was honestly the original potato cheddar. They provide the perfect amount of sour cream and I love having the onions on the side. I also got an order of their seasoned fries and am so glad I did! They seem unassuming but were very flavorful.

Hooray for Pierogi Mountain! There is something for everybody here. Who doesn't love a pierogi?! If you don't know how to answer that question, a pierogi is essentially a Polish stuffed noodle- think like a potsticker-sized ravioli. Here, the pierogi fillings are as creative as they are delicious: flavors range from a classic potato cheddar to a creative (and amazing!) samosa pierogi. You can order as many pierogis as you want, and you can mix and match the flavors if you like some variety in your life. Oh, and they have some sort of pierogi special on Tuesdays: I think it was $2 per pierogi (as of Nov 2024). That not sounding like your thing? There are plenty of other, equally delicious items on the menu. The chicken paprikash and the kielbasa are standouts. Dietary restrictions? You'll find a fairly robust vegan and vegetarian menu here too, including a meatless kielbasa! The prices are reasonable, but the happy hour pricing (especially on Tuesdays, if youre ordering pierogis) is a great deal! And they have a cute and private back patio that makes you forget you're in the middle of Ohio. Dreamy. Oh, and because French fries are important (!): when I dined in, the fries came out HOT and fresh. A large order was plenty for about 4 people to snack on until we got our main orders. Pierogi Mountain never disappoints! Highly recommend!

After a quick hangout with the coworkers, I let them know I was starving and needed some food. We came to Pierogi Mountain since it was close and open. I have never known that this place was right behind the Hills Market. I work down the street. Anyways this place had immaculate chill vibes since the spooky decor was definitely on brand and made me excited for the food. We got service immediately with a round of waters to start. I ordered the Cider Pot Roast meal with a sauerkraut and egg noodles. And a round of unique ingredients handmade Pierogis: Potato Kraut and Mushroom, Samosas and Jamaican jerk sweet potatoe. All unique and all good. They are small but a great reason to get a bunch. Beer is cold too. 5 stars!

Love that there was parking, the pierogies were so flavorful as was the pot roast. There are a lot of vegan options to choose from and based on the vegan pierogies they were superb. Service was great and attentive. The vibe is a cool underground bar feel so it's definitely an experience. Will definitely be back, if not trying to get the pierogies frozen to bring home.

I had a very pleasant evening here, arriving early in the dinner rush and then staying since it was comfy, it was cool and the place never completely filled up to the point where I'd have been taking a table from a paying customer. Super easy to choose a plate of pierogies, going with one of each from the menu. I'm not an idiot - I skipped the "Ghost Pepper" one but did get one of each of the rest. It didn't take long and they arrived on a plate, perfectly presented with a squiggle of sour cream and accompanied by a small pile of sauteed onions. My favorite was the classic Potato Cheddar, just delicious with sharp cheese and a hint of paprika. So yummy. Great friendly service and terrific food. It's five stars for me. Only been here once, but looking forward to coming back. Pierogi Mountain has a sort of cozy, dive bar vibe. Combined with the friendly service, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. They serve very affordable pub fare, plus the eponymous pierogis. Every pierogi was delightful, the Herbes de Provence was very good (we didn't get to try the sweet potato which sounded amazing). We also had the buffalo sauce cauliflower bites, which I recommend. It also has a surprisingly cute little patio. It only sits 4 tables, but it's completely surrounded by tall plants so you feel like you're in a little garden courtyard instead of a parking lot downtown. It was a lovely space to eat in on a warm summer night.

Upon entering this restaurant, hubby and I were warmly greeted by restaurant staff. The restaurant was full of happy customers and the music playing in the restaurant was upbeat but not overpowering when having a conversation. After quickly finding a seat, we looked at the menu and hubby was excited to see on the menu that all pierogis are $1.50 all day Tuesday. I liked that the menu is clearly marked with menu items that can be made vegan. After looking at the menu, I decided to order the following vegan pierogis: potato, sauerkraut, and mushroom, artichoke &sweet pepper scampi, and sweet potato curry and their Hungarian poutine fries while hubby (who's vegetarian) ordered the following pierogis: potato cheddar, smoked Gouda & roasted asparagus, artichoke & sweet pepper scampi, and sweet potato curry. Hubby was still hungry after eating his pierogis so he ordered a vegan kielbasa sausage that was served on a bed of sauerkraut. The food was so good, I ordered a seitan schnitzel sandwich to go. After having such a delicious meal with a chill atmosphere and friendly staff, we definitely plan to stop here again whenever we are in Columbus.

Last night I met up with my ladies at Pierogi Mountain for a girls' night of drinks, dinner and trivia. I love this little local spot for Polish yums and we had a great experience--amazing food, service and entertainment--you can't go wrong! The pierogi menu has a variety of creative options that cater to different tastes and cuisines, including vegan. Whether you're a traditionalist who enjoys classic potato and cheese pierogi or an adventurous foodie willing to try unique flavor combinations, Pierogi Mountain has something for everyone! (And they don't just have pierogi!) I started off with one of their beer can specials--a 16 oz. Saucy Brew Works sour--for just $5.50. We shared some fries with ranch and their ranch dressing is thick and flavorful for dipping! For my main event, I tried the Potato Ruskie; Potato, Sauerkraut & Mushroom; Tomato, Balsamic & Basil; and the Aloo Vindaloo. They were served with sour cream and caramelized onions. They were all tasty and at $2.25 a pop, I think it's pretty reasonable. (Tuesdays pierogi are on special for $1.50 each all day dine-in!) Whether you're a pierogi connoisseur or a newcomer to this Eastern European delight, Pierogi Mountain is a must-visit. I left with a satisfied belly and a desire to return soon to explore more of their delectable offerings.
